Scientific research activity:

  • The use of conventional and modern diagnostic methods for the microbiological assessment of the environment sanitary state.
  • The use of modern research techniques for the detection of pathogenic organisms in the waste water and sewage sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants.
  • The use of genetically modified bacteria with the GFP gene in the detection of chemicals in the environment.
  • Biological monitoring of the environment
  • Studies on the possibilities of the use of different types of sewage sludge on lawn grass in the urban environment.

Service offer:

Division of Sanitary Biology and Biotechnology specializes in research in the field of:

  • microbiological contamination of air inside the investigated objects and in the open field,
  • parasitological and microbiological contamination of soils, municipal landfills and sewage sludge,
  • microbiological contamination of foods,
  • the use of primary toxicity tests of water, sewage and different chemicals in terms of acute toxicity.
