On Wednesday (21.09.2022) in InterContinental Warsaw, during the seminar “The road to climate neutrality”, prizes were awarded to the winners of the competition for the best thesis “Create green future with CEMEX”.
\nTwo of our students (now already graduates) stood on the podium.
\nSecond place was won by Krzysztof Duch, MSc with his thesis entitled “Modification of the properties of geopolymer composites with recycled concrete aggregate for the load-bearing structure of a bridge”, the thesis was supervised by Edyta Pawluczuk, PhD, Eng. Magdalena Leo\u0144czuk, MSc, author of the thesis entitled “Properties of standard mortars modified with lightweight sodium borosilicate glass”, won the third place. The thesis supervisor was Katarzyna Kalinowska-Wichrowska, PhD, Eng.
\nNearly 40 engineering, master’s and postgraduate theses by students representing 14 technical universities from all over Poland were submitted to the competition organised by CEMEX Poland. The thematic scope of the ideas and solutions presented in the thesis summaries was very broad, and for the most part met the criteria for the thesis to comply with the scope and subject matter of the competition. Ten theses qualified for the final stage, which stood out for the innovativeness and originality of the topic and, importantly, were presented professionally and factually in the submitted materials.
