Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, received the title and statuette of Polish Hercules 2022 of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d.<\/div>\n

\u2013 The Polish Hercules award is a token of appreciation of the environment \u2013 the construction industry for its activities for the development of Bialystok University of Technology,<\/em> \u2013 says Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology. \u2013 The environment appreciated the university\u2019s growing potential, recognition and the rector\u2019s personal participation in building the image and brand of Bialystok University of Technology. The award has its own history and reputation. It has been awarded for more than 20 years. However, only one person from the world of science receives it in each edition.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIn recognition of personal success, authority and position in the academic community associated with the construction industry. In particular, for a lifetime of outstanding scientific, teaching, creative and expert activity in the field of civil engineering, as well as for exceptional activity and great commitment to the development of the university\u201d \u2013 wrote Prof. Andrzej Garbacz, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Building Research Institute, Vice Chairman of the Programme Council of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d, Danuta Burzy\u0144ska, Editor-in-Chief of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d, Prof. Jerzy Ho\u0142a from Wroclaw University of Technology, Member of the Committee of Civil Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Vice-Chairman of the Scientific Council of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d. Marek Zdzieb\u0142owski, President of the Management Board of Builder Corp, Publisher of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Rector of Bialystok University of Technology was awarded the title and statuette of Polish Hercules 2022 on 16 March 2023 at the Builder Awards Gala.<\/p>\n

This is an annual ceremony that brings together companies and people from the construction sector. During this event, awards are presented to undisputed industry leaders and top managers from among representatives of all participants in the investment process: public investors, private investors, developers, architects and designers, contractors, manufacturers, as well as companies and organizations supporting the industry and working for the benefit of the Polish construction industry, science and education. <\/p>\n

The title and the Polish Hercules statuette are awarded by the Editorial Board and the Scientific Council of \u201cBuilder Polska\u201d to outstanding figures and recognized authorities in business, the construction industry, architecture and science, people who have had a significant impact on the development of the Polish construction industry with their activities to date.<\/p>\n

The Polish Hercules statue was designed by sculptor Tadeusz Tch\u00f3rzewski, and made by sculptor Rafa\u0142 Cywi\u0144ski. The figure of the man is cast in bronze, polished and chromed. The rock block, which has the form of a pillar with a rectangular base, is made of black gabbro. The height of the statue is 32 cm, the weight \u2013 nearly 7 kg.<\/p>\n
