The university presented the opportunities offered by technical studies during the Education Fair in Vilnius. &nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>Engineers are in demand on the labour market both in Poland and worldwide. It is therefore not surprising that the offer of 32 first-cycle study programmes at Bialystok University of Technology attracted considerable interest from young people at the Education Fair in Vilnius. Many students from Lithuanian secondary schools speak Polish fluently, and some have Polish roots. Among their future educational choices is the technical university in Bialystok, which educates future automation and robotics engineers, electrical engineers, and financial analysts.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2013 I have friends who study at the Bialystok University of Technology. They speak very highly of the place, and I have received many recommendations from them \u2013 says Magda Lukaszewicz. \u2013 I\u2019m most interested in applied mathematics; that\u2019s the field I would like to study. I see many opportunities for professional development and employment after such studies \u2013 for example, in a bank. I\u2019ve been to Bialystok several times. It\u2019s a wonderful city where I could live and study.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/en\/2025\/06\/25\/perspektywy-2025-university-ranking-bialystok-university-of-technology-tops-the-inbound-student-mobility-indicator\/\">According to the <em>Perspektywy 2025 University Ranking<\/em>, Bialystok University of Technology is ranked first in Poland in the internationalisation category, in the indicator \u201cstudent exchange<\/a> \u2013 incoming students\u201d. Among its 371 international students are also Lithuanians. The university supports international students by offering scholarships and accommodation in student residence halls, but above all, by providing a European standard of education, confirmed by, among others, its membership in the European University ACROSS. Foreign students can also rely on assistance through numerous initiatives, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/sjo\/en\/learning-polish\/\">Polish Language and Culture Centre POLISH LAB<\/a>. Operating within the Foreign Language Centre of Bialystok University of Technology, the Centre integrates the international community through Polish language learning as well as activities promoting Polish culture and traditions.<\/p>\n<p>What attracts young people most, however, is the university\u2019s diverse range of study programmes.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2013 I listened to the university\u2019s presentation and realised that the Graphic Design study programme is my place. I must get to Bialystok University of Technology \u2013 says Marta Zielenkiewicz, a student at Adam Mickiewicz High School in Vilnius. \u2013 I am a creative person who enjoys drawing and designing, so I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll fit in perfectly there. I\u2019ve been to Bialystok three times and can say it\u2019s a truly beautiful place.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the highlights of the Fair in Vilnius was the presentation by Bialystok University of Technology, during which prospective students learned about the admission rules, forms of university support for international students, accommodation options, and procedures related to residence in Poland. Adriana Ma\u0142gorzata Dowbysz from the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of Bialystok University of Technology also gave a lecture entitled <em>\u201cThe Colours of Biotechnology \u2013 Discover Diversity, Choose the Future and Innovation!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2013 The lecture aimed to encourage Lithuanian secondary school students to study at Bialystok University of Technology. I wanted to interest them in biotechnology, which is a field of the future, combining knowledge, practice and new technologies \u2013 says Adriana Ma\u0142gorzata Dowbysz, MSc, Eng., from Bialystok University of Technology. \u2013 The students were very engaged and asked many questions, ranging from the study programme content to the defence of the diploma thesis.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bialystok University of Technology educates students from countries such as China, Italy and Portugal. At the same time, it is developing its educational offer for the Polish diaspora youth, including from Lithuania. It encourages them to study at its six faculties, among others through the <em>Young PoloniaTech Academy<\/em>. The project enabled the arrival of 36 students from Drohobych and Horodok in Ukraine and from Vilnius, who gained knowledge and practical skills under the supervision of academic teachers and students of Bialystok University of Technology. The project was implemented with funds from the Senate of the Republic of Poland, in cooperation between Bialystok University of Technology and the Academic Secondary School of BUT with the \u201cWsp\u00f3lnota Polska\u201d Association.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The university promoted 32 engineering and bachelor\u2019s study programmes at the Education Fair in Vilnius on 29 October 2025. At the university\u2019s stand, participants could also learn about new study programmes such as agroecobusiness, electromobility, data science, transport, and project management. These programmes have been available since October 2025 and address current labour market needs, opening the path to an engineering career.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bialystok University of Technology\u2019s participation in the fair was made possible through the initiative <em>\u201cStudy in Bialystok. Study in Podlaskie\u201d<\/em>. This project, supported by the City of Bialystok and the Podlaskie Voivodeship, is a joint effort of Bialystok University of Technology, the University of Bialystok, and the Medical University of Bialystok, promoting studying in Bialystok.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The study programmes Agroecobusiness, Electromobility and Transport are implemented as part of the project <em>BUT 5.0 \u2013 adapting the educational offer of Bialystok University of Technology to the needs of a modern economy and the green and digital transition.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The full educational offer of Bialystok University of Technology is available on the university\u2019s admission website.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-155206\" src=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/PB-5_0-FERS-RP-UE-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1140\" height=\"157\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Young PoloniaTech Academy<\/em> project is implemented jointly with the \u201cWsp\u00f3lnota Polska\u201d Association \u2013 a non-governmental organisation whose aim is to strengthen ties with Poland among people of Polish descent and Poles living abroad. The project received funding of PLN 345,580 from the state budget. The earmarked grant co-finances the implementation of a public task within the scope of the Senate of the Republic of Poland\u2019s care for the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad.
