Faculty of Forestry works since 1st March 2011, when it was transformed from former unit, Faculty of Environmental Management of Bialystok University of Technology in Hajnówka, created in 2000. In the years 2002-2008 the Faculty was headed by Dsc. PhD, Eng. Elzbieta Malzahn, after that – by Dsc. PhD, Eng. Sławomir Bakier.
The transformation of the Faculty
On 28 October 2010, the Senate of the Bialystok University of Technology (BUT) resolved to change the name of the Faculty in the Hajnówka. On 1 March 2011, the Faculty of Environmental Management BUT in Hajnowka was transformed into the Faculty of Forestry BUT in Hajnówka.
