Visit of scientists from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University

On May 17, 2022, at our Faculty, we hosted colleagues from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. At the meeting, the research and development and didactic offer of both units was presented and possible further topics for cooperation, which has been going on for many years, were discussed. The presented proposals met with keen interest on both sides and will surely result in joint ventures for which we are already waiting and cheering.
On the part of VGTU we were visited by Dr. Rimvydas Stonys, Director of the Building Materials Institute, Dr. Valentin Antonovič, Head of the Composite Materials Laboratory, Dr. Jurgita Malaiškienė and Dr. Renata Borys.
On the part of the Faculty, the meeting was attended by: Rector dr hab. Eng. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, prof. PB, prof. dr hab. inż. Michał Bołtryk, Dean of WBiNŚ, dr inż. Małgorzata Lrał, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education, dr hab. Eng. Jolanta Prusiel, prof. PB-Head of the Department of Building Structures, prof. dr hab. Eng. Władysław Gardziejczyk, Director of the Institute of Civil Engineering, dr inż. Katarzyna Kalinowska-Wichrowska, Vice-Dean for Development and Cooperation.
In addition to discussions and exchange of experiences, faculty laboratories were presented, including: Hall, Road Laboratory, Faculty Chemical Laboratory, Laboratory of Renewable Energy Sources and Laboratories at the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology.
The culmination of the visit was a visit to the BUT Museum, where Mrs. Agnieszka Halicka, together with its Director, Dr. Eng. arch. Maciej Kłopotowski presented the beautiful history and tradition of our Alma Mater.
