A. Werner-Juszczuk, PhD, Eng. visits Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria, as part of Erasmus+ mobility

Anna Werner-Juszczuk, PhD, Eng.  from the Department of Sustainable Construction and Building Installations, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, Bialystok University of Technology, participated in a teaching mobility (STA) under the Erasmus+ program at Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria, from March 24 to 28, 2025, at the Agrarian and Industrial Faculty.

Angel Kanchev University of Ruse is one of the 10 European universities collaborating within the European University Across project, which includes: Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany) – as the leader, University of Perpignan (France), University of Girona (Spain), University of Lleida (Spain), University of Ruse (Bulgaria), University of Craiova (Romania), University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia), University of Udine (Italy), and Bialystok University of Technology (Poland).

The purpose of the visit was to deliver lectures for students on energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems in buildings. A presentation was also given on the educational offer of Bialystok University of Technology for international students, including Erasmus+ opportunities and summer schools.

During a meeting with Prof. Galina Ivanova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Ms. Diana Gueorguieva, representative of the Erasmus+ office, possibilities for student and faculty exchanges within the Erasmus+ program were discussed.

Meetings with Prof. Zhivko Kolev and Prof. Kliment Velikov Klimentov provided an opportunity to explore the research and teaching laboratories of the Agrarian and Industrial Faculty and discuss further directions of collaboration between the universities. The visit also included an overview of the university’s infrastructure to assess the possibilities for hosting international students.

Erasmus+ mobility between Angel Kanchev University of Ruse and Bialystok University of Technology is available to students from the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Management.
