Since the current academic year, classes within the International School of Engineering at Tianjin Chengjian University (ISE) have started at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, our teachers were unable to travel to Tianjin to conduct classes with first-year students of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering (semesters III and IV). As a result, classes conducted by PB teachers for ISE students in these courses are held online.

However, we are pleased to inform that in the summer semester, stationary classes began for second degree students in Civil Engineering. Despite formal difficulties with the organization of the arrival (one month delayed), 12 students from Tianjin Chengjian University came to Bialystok and participate in lectures and practical classes on subjects such as: Pre-Stressed Concrete Structures (in the pictures), Monolitic Constructions, Road Infrastructure, Mechanics of Engineering Structures, Bridges and others.

The field trip to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Łapy
On November 19, 2025, undergraduate and graduate students of ISE – Environmental Engineering took part in a field trip to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Łapy. There, they were introduced to the mechanical and biological wastewater treatment processes, saw actual equipment in the treatment process, and saw the treated wastewater receiver. The classes at the wastewater treatment plant were led by Professor Wojciech Dąbrowski.
