We are pleased to invite you to participate in the
FUNGITAX Workshops 'Nature to date: exploring diversity and advanced identification of fungi on dead wood’
This unique program offers a great opportunity to expand your knowledge, develop new skills, and engage with an international academic community. You will have the chance to attend lectures and workshops conducted by experts, participate in practical projects, and experience Polish culture in a vibrant university setting.
The aim of the FUNGITAX workshop 'Nature to date: exploring diversity and advanced identification of fungi on dead wood’ will be to provide participants with practical field knowledge on the collection of fungi, as well as laboratory skills in identifying Macromycetes and Micromycetes. The workshop will focus on advanced methods for recognizing fungal diversity on dead wood, combining hands-on field sampling techniques with microscopic and molecular approaches for species identification.
The fieldwork will take place in the Białowieża Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its exceptional fungal biodiversity, offering a unique opportunity to study fungi in one of Europe’s last primeval forests.
Additionally, social and cultural activities will allow you to explore Białystok and connect with fellow participants.
Who can apply: a student from foreign countries in the field of science, technology or natural sciences of higher education and science institutions who will complete the electronic application and send reference letter from university, stating student status and English language ability, by 07.03.2025.
